Time for another controversial post.
I want to preface this by saying I do not hate any of the people in my life that is living a non heterosexual lifestyle. I love you and God wishes you would repent and believe, and strive to live a Godly lifestyle. This means more than being heterosexual it means not fornicating period. I would be living a life just as abominable to God if I was sleeping around. ONLY The Lord Jesus Christ ever lived a sinless life and that is why He had to die for all of our sins.
Marriage is not defined by State nor by Cultural forces of the right nor the left. It was defined by God when He made the first man and woman in the Garden of Eden. Jesus addressed this in the New Testament when asked when it was alright to divorce. It is not an Old Testament dispensation thing.
"Matthew 19
King James Version19 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
It is very clear that marriage is the Union for life, with the exception of abuse and adultery of one man and one woman. There is no such thing as a honosexual marriage. It might be considered a Civil Union, but, it is not and never will be recognized by your Creator as a marriage. Regardless of legality status it does not change what God thinks.
