One of the goals of my blog is to explain to the broader Libertarian movement why Theonomic or Theocratic libertarianism is preferable to the mainstream Libertarian Parties and movements. I long for a day when Christians all over The World can come together in a unified Christian Politics movement and agree on the basic framework of a Christian Nation and Community.
A consistent Christian and Biblical Worldview comes to a constantly similar outlook when taken logically. While we might disagree on the particulars; all Confessional Christians want the Civil Magistrate to preserve a Christian Nation. To provide the framework for thriving Christian Individuals, families and churches. This is no matter what eschatology you have of the End Times we are currently in.
It also is not just the domain of fundamentalist Christians. All Evangelical, Historical, Orthodox, Conservative, Christianity would prefer a more Chrstian Nation to a Secular one. It is really getting people to understand why any Christian Nation needs to limit government to only what is necessary that this blog aims to promote. Whether you end up in the Anarcho-Theonomist position, Christian Minarchist position or Christian in between ism position.
God's Law is delicious like honey and we need to preserve it while we can. All Christians are to love God's Law as well as His Grace. We are to live a Godly and Holy life Abiding by God's Eternal Laws. We should all be able to agree on at least the Second Table of the Ten Commandments as the Standard of Societal Order. We can argue over how that is than put into practice and what laws should stay, or go, or, even be replaced or added to in some cases.
A consistent Christian Worldview says to all areas of life Christ is King. We do this by preaching the Gospel from the bottom up. Then it goes from there to the civil magistrate. Starting with Christian families, churches, organizations and also individual Christians. I am not a post millennial and you do not need to be one to understand how logical consistency work. I am a Confessional Reformed Amillenial and I do not see a Christian Golden Age in our future.
However, that does not mean we are to give up on the Great Commission to Disciple the Nations, including their Government Structures while we are not yet at Home in Heaven with the Saints of the Past. A consistent Worldview admits we have no assurance of winning on Earth as Christ has already in Heaven. However, while we are pilgrims we can at least work to be allowed to be visitors passing through unmolested. We should support Christian Legislation and consistent Christians wherever at whatever level of government they are running.
