I agree with the William Paul Young view that Jesus atonement was universal and everyone will be reconciled to Jesus/Yahweh at some point after death. Whether they repent at the mere sight of the Lord or need a time of correction.
However, I also think pluralism is dangerous and that John is correct in saying Jesus is the only way. I believe in Universalism in the restoration and salvation not that all paths are god or lead to good.
It would be best to accept Christ and be born again the easy way now than the hard way through being reconciled after death through whatever method Jesus/Yahweh might need to use to reconcile you.
I disagree with any idea of eternal punishment and thus the meaning of hell used throughout this discussion. However, I do think the unbiblical nature of progressive Christianity should be known. Not out of lack of love or because of turn or burn. Due to the fact it contains so many unbiblical ideas.
The reason progressive Christianity could be called a doctrine of demons is not because you will be tortured or separated from God forever. It is the denial of Christ being Christ at all and the conclusions from it leading you to have a non Christ centered spiritual life. The denial of sin and evil existing.
