A Canadian Conservatives measured response to the Trump Presidency

It seems no one causes an outcry of either pure hatred or pure love like President Donald J. Trump does. It seems you either need to think he is the Best President Ever or a Nazi. However, I neither think he is the best president ever nor the worst man on the face of the planet either. President Trump has done both a lot of good and right things, as well as some bad too. I am not going to blow smoke up his ass nor am I going to condemn him as some sort of living embodiment of the Devil some people seem to have done.

I fully support the President on many things surprisingly to some. I fully stand by his massive tax cuts and also his massive campaign of deregulation. I fully stand by him that Islamic-Fascism is a serious threat and that other Presidents in the past have been too weak in Islams war with Western Civilization. I agree that the US and all Countries need to be able to to vet Immigrants to make sure they are not connected to terrorism, criminality or other markers that might make them dangerous to be let into our Countries. This does not mean I agree with his means of doing this nor does it mean I agree with building the Border Wall either. However, I can totally understand those that are for it and do not think supporting it equals being a Nazi, xenophobic bigot.

I am against the idea of people just walking over a landmark and automatically being in the Country like what is happening over at the Quebec crossing. I am also pro-immigration for people that are not a danger to the Country one is entering into. The problem is that when you have completely unfettered and unregulated immigration there is no way to detect actual threats to the citizens of ones Country. I also think that peaceful illegal immigrants should be allowed into the Qeaue if they are vetted and found to be safe. However, those that used the proper processes will be getting into the Country first. However, I was in support of Trumps travel ban from Countries known to be hotbeds of terrorists and places that indoctrinate people into Death Cults. While not being worried about Mexico as much as he has been.

Where I have my biggest disagreements with Donald (yes, I will show him the respect of using his first name) is with his anti trade policies. I am pro free trade unilaterally and for an economically globalized world with Global Capitalism spread far and wide. I am against Globalism if you mean giving all your sovereignty and power to the United Nations as some form of Global Government. I am for Globalism if you mean free trade between borders without tariffs and without subsidies/corporate welfare either ideally. I am a nationalist if you mean governments should have borders and be able to vet whom comes through for being dangerous.That Nations are sovereign VS the UN taking over the rules of your Country.  I am not a nationalist if you mean being an isolationist and being against trading with other nations and having a regime of economic protectionism against free trade.
