Last night I got to take a look at the Anarcho-Capitalist documentary called, "The Monopoly on Violence." It was quite interesting, but, also quite annoying. At times these folks are clearly showing their Anti-God Bias. Acting as if the individual is sovereign over God being the sovereign. In fact, God did not come up once and the constant showing of people with snake filled Gadson Flags was unnerving. It shows the difference between an Anarcho-Theonomist and a regular anarchist of the Capitalist variety.
One honors God's Sovereignty and His Law Word as beautiful. The other treats the existence of Laws as a determent to self fulfillment. Laws that are just; the just use of force by the governing agencies are beautiful. The question is once again not force VS no force, but, the source of Law and how it is enforced. Absent a State a Stateless Theonomic Society or Godly Society would not be lawless. Nor would said laws be based in the axiom of do whatever. It would be the abiding Authority of God's Law Word. Which would limit what one can do in said community.
The law code would be based on the General Equity of the Moral Law. Including both laws that are found where appropriate in the Old as well as New Testament. The punishments would not be taken over to modern times unless appropriate. For example; the Death Penalty for Murder, and high sex crimes such as Abuse, Rape, Incest (often Groomed), Bestiality (Raping an animal). These should be currently enforced this way by The State. However, they are neglecting their duty under Christ's Heavenly Reign. Yet, other crimes against God and Nature such as homosexuality would be dealt with differently. Namely, the main option would simply be to get the person to make a promise before God to not act on said attractions. I do not support the Death Penalty "anymore" for the crime of same sex activity. It was, however, just in the time of history during the Israel days to follow such laws.
The law code would be enforced over anyone in the area known to be Christian Territory and it would not be optional if living in a Godly Community. The fact that an Anarcho-Theonomist is against the current State with its lack of foundation in God's Word does not mean we would not like all States to function according to God's Law Word. In fact, it is our contention that all creation by nature of God putting forth a Law He says we are to follow is under His Law Word. Even where there is no State Penalties one is to live accordingly. We are all to strive to live a Godly and Holy life, but, only the regenerated wish to really do so.
