It has been a long time here in P.E.I. since we allowed Sunday as a day of Business. At first this was not a big deal as people still took Sunday to be the day that belonged to the Lord. However, year after year more liberties have been taken with Sunday Shopping being only one type of work that used Sunday as a day like no other. This is not a good thing. It is a sign of the Islands degenerating away from Biblical Values.
As the Island becomes or at least acts more Worldly over time more people are losing the importance of Our Heavenly Father and his ways. Not taking Sunday seriously as a day that the Lord has made for his day shows how much this Province really needs the Gospel and their eyes opened. Shops will put the Pride flag in all their windows throwing an abomination in Gods face, but, will not close down for His Day.
There was a time when The Islands values were much more in line with Christian Values. We were an Island of bulwark against the sort of thing one would see in the larger Provinces. The idea of abomination being celebrated while the Lord being ignored was at one time unthinkable. Not so nowadays and instead we celebrate Evil while we make trivial the Good.
We all need to pray that the tides will turn on the Island and that people here will be regenerated or quit backsliding. Only God's spirit can change people's hearts by making them a new creation. Changing their desires to be on The Lord's.
